Newtown favourite Continental Deli, Bar and Bistro has revealed the location of its second venue, which is slated to open by July this year.
The Continental team officially confirmed the new bar and bistro will be located on Phillip Street in Sydney’s CBD, following initial reports in February.
Co-owner Elvis Abrahanowicz says their signature canned food and drinks will be on the menu, as well as more extensive lunch menu to cater to the CBD crowd.
“We plan that all the current favourites from the Newtown Deli will feature with plates, sandwiches and some of the Bistro menu dishes too,” he told BARS&clubs.
“Cans will certainly still be a strong feature with our canned in-house cocktails and retail products on offer.”
Founded in 2015 by Abrahanowicz, Joe Valore (Porteño), Mikey Nicolian (Gardel’s Bar) and chef Jesse Warkentin (Bodega), Continental Deli has established itself as a go-to bar for cocktails, cured meats and bistro fare.
Using their own canning machine, the team can fish and vegetables, as well as drinks such as the “Mar-tinnie” and the “Can-hatten”.
